The campaign is funded with two million three hundred and twenty thousand euro and is running over a two-year period, between 2006 and 2008. Its purpose is to encourage consumption of ecological products, broaden consumers' knowledge about Ecological Agriculture, inform on Community Standards regulating ecological production systems and promote interest among operators in using the Community logo.
The campaign targets consumers, economic agents in the sector and people in charge of catering, consumer associations, communication media and educational establishments.
Its principal actions include:
- Presentations in conjunction with Autonomous Communities.
- Promotions at points of sale with "points to consider" that provide information to consumers.
- Production and distribution of directories of operators within the sector.
- Presence in the communication media: television and press.
- Public relations
