FROM (Regulation and Organisation Foundation for the Fishing and Marine Cultivation Products Market) has launched a communication campaign to encourage young people to eat fish. The campaign uses the web site www.operaciontrucho.com, a microsite specially designed to appeal to youngsters and with images they can relate to and texts that respect their way of speaking.

In addition, two competitions have been announced in which internet surfers can win one of several Play Station Portable or Play Station3 consoles. In one competition, FROM invites youngsters to compose their own songs using the music from one of their favourite tracks but writing new lyrics related to fish and its consumption. In the other competition, they can sing in an entertaining fishy-karaoke.

Both the song lyrics and the recordings are stored on the web site and can be visited, voted for and resent to friends.

The site includes videos showing how prepare a range of fish dishes, nutritional charts for various species and information about different storage methods.

This purpose of this space is to turn young people into active consumers by providing information in an original and entertaining way about fish and their nutritional value.
